An Urgent Message to the World The quest for Peace, Happiness and Prosperity is common to all
human beings. However, this fundamental need can only be fulfilled on the
basis of Truth, Justice and Freedom for all. Most religious and scientific traditions acknowledge Truth as
the highest good. Indeed, without Truth there can be no Justice, no Freedom
and no Peace. There is no Peace without Freedom, no Freedom without Justice
and no Justice without Truth. Truth is the essence of everything that is
good. There are many forms of Truth: Spiritual Truth, Scientific
Truth, Historical Truth. There is also the "Truth" of business
interests, politicians and the media. When Truth is distorted to promote selfish interests, it becomes
the opposite of Truth. Historical Truth, in particular, has often become
subject to distortion at the hands of self-seeking individuals, organisations
and governments. Religious authorities have been particularly skilful at
distorting Historical Truth. Although I received a Western education from an
early age, my search for truth enabled me to discover that Western faiths
were not the original religion of the nations who profess them today but they
came to power by maligning and denigrating earlier faiths. They also often
physically exterminated the followers of the latter. Indeed, they are guilty
of such appalling crimes as the enslavement of entire continents and nations,
unprecedented World Wars and genocide. The 20th century alone witnessed two devastating World Wars
between Western Powers as well as the Western-inspired Russian and Chinese
Communist Revolutions which together resulted in the killing of over sixty
million innocent people - roughly the population of the entire United
Kingdom! Instead of admitting that these atrocities are the product of
Western Culture, even as they preach "Freedom", "Justice"
and "Equality", the leaders of the Western World are busy promoting
their delusional belief that "Eastern faiths are an obstacle to
Salvation" (as stated in the "Declaration Dominus Iesus"
issued by the Vatican and written by the former cardinal and current Pope,
Benedict XVI). Could it be that Western Culture itself is an obstacle to
Peace on Earth, let alone Peace in Heaven? The objective and unprejudiced
assessment of historical facts would seem to suggest that this is the case.
We only need to compare the actions of the Roman, Christian and Islamic
Empires to those of Indian (Hindu and Buddhist) Civilisation, to see the
truth of the matter. Even a brief study of the Holy Scriptures of India
(Upanishads, Puranas, etc.) will show that the Spiritual knowledge contained
in them is far superior to the teachings of their Western counterparts. Indeed, it becomes apparent that Western hatred of Eastern
Wisdom is caused by fear of being found out. Although accepted by many people
in the West, Eastern teachings such as Reincarnation, Karma, and Salvation
through Yoga (Unity with the Divine) are systematically suppressed by Western
leaders precisely in order to cover up their own Spiritual ignorance and
inadequacy. It is our duty to expose such leaders wherever we can. The fallacy of Western thought is confirmed by the fact that
India remained a prosperous nation for millennia while her people adhered to their
ancestral faith (Sanatana Dharma). By contrast, the domination of extensive
areas of the country (in particular, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and
Kashmir) by Western systems (religious or otherwise) has brought nothing but
division, conflict, poverty and suffering upon the Indian Nation and, by
extension, upon the World. Similarly, Western beliefs have turned the great
civilisations of Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and South America into hotbeds of
poverty, corruption, crime, terrorism and despair. The fact is that Western faiths are responsible for some of
the greatest crimes in the history of Mankind. If allowed to continue to
proliferate without hindrance, they undoubtedly will bring about the total
destruction of our Planet. Having turned much of the Planet into a desert through wars,
pollution and ruthless exploitation, our leaders are now poised to turn it
into a cultural and Spiritual desert, too. We must not allow this to happen. The people of Africa, Asia and Latin America who are
derogatorily called "the Third World" by the West, need neither its
"aid" nor its "culture". What they need is freedom from
Western interference. Missionary activities, in particular, must be stopped
once and for all. The fact is that we cannot have a free and multicultural World
when the only culture that is being officially promoted and sponsored is that
of the West. Eastern faiths are needed not only to provide a necessary
balance but also to correct and redress the errors and excesses of the West
which have gone unchallanged and unchecked for too long. The only remedy to the cultural and Spiritual imbalance which
is threatening the World today is the promotion of Eastern faiths, in
particular the Eternal Tradition of Shiva (Shiva or Yoga Dharma) as taught by
its Holy Prophets, the Enlightened Yogis and Gurus. The World cannot be saved by building more and more churches
and mosques. What the World urgently needs is Temples of Unity (Yoga Layas)
and shrines to the Supreme Lord of Unity and Goodness (Shiva). When the
Temples of Unity outnumber the houses of discord, then Peace, Unity and
Harmony will prevail. Until that day, Mankind will blunder in the dark,
blaming the wrong people, taking the wrong decisions and going down the wrong
path. It is beyond dispute that as a Spirituality which has remained
free from the taint of genocide, forced conversions, religious wars and other
crimes common to established religions, Yoga is in a unique position to lead
the human race towards a better future. This being so, we urge you to join us in our effort to
allow the timeless Wisdom of Yoga to heal and save the World before it is too
late. |
